Dear Curtis Family, We are personally saddened by the loss of your dear husband and father, but we are confident that all of you, with us, will feel the warmth of his presence again. Roy always told me (Carolyn) that I was his 47th cousin; his mother and my grandmother came from the same NL community and shared the same maiden name. We also share the same birthplace: Bay Roberts. The senior Curtis family, Roy's parents, took my father in for a year while he worked in Oshawa so our family could move to Oshawa to put my brother and I in OMC. That assistance turned the world around for us. When I taught at Kingsway I'd ask Roy to wear his uniform and speak for several Remembrance Day programs. He was always willing and astonished us that he could actually fit into the uniform of his youth. As for Aub and me, we valued every contact with the Curtis and Prouty families, adults and their children alike. Only Eternity will show the results of all of these dedicated people. I tear up when I look at the beautiful pictures you have posted. Both Aub and I send our heartfelt sympathy for the deeper sorrow you are experiencing. God bless and keep you until you meet this very special man again. Aubrey & Carolyn Osmond

Dear Curtis Family, Just to send our heartfelt condolences on the loss of a husband, a father & a grandfather. We did not know him personally but we have met his family & the people we have met say something about the man, a fine Christian gentleman. So sorry that the story of his life has come to an end. I think the thing that impresses me most about him was that he came from that time period when the young men of the Adventist church had to stand up for what they believed & then take whatever was tossed at them & he did & was able to find a way to serve both his country & his God. I am also very impressed that every year he went to share his story with the children at CPES. As your mourn the loss of your father may God hold you all close & keep you faithful until that glad reunion morning. We will think of you on the 20th and would be there except we have made vacation plans for BC. May your service be one of celebration of a life well lived Faith In Christian love, Faith & Cary
