Obituary of Dorothy Ruth Gehman

Passed away peacefully at the Caressant Care McLaughlin in Lindsay, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in her 86th year. Dorothy, beloved spouse of the late Dr. John Gehman. Loving mother of Keith (Louise) Weishuhn of Seagrave and Cindy (Charles) Hooper of Woodville. Loving grandmother to Courtney (Justin) Thompson, Annette (Mike) Matthews, Melissa (Paul) Weishuhn. Adoring great grandmother to Amelia, Mikaela and Rylee. Loving friend to Charlie Chamberlain of Woodville. Survived by one brother, Harry Faunce and one sister Mary Charlotte Cousineau both of Sterling, Michigan. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Ruth, brothers Jim, George, Dale, Bud and sisters Greta, Florence, Helen and Barbara. Dorothy was a big part of the Community Care program in Woodville and a big supporter of the Woodville hockey community. The family of Dorothy Gehman will receive friends at the THORNE FUNERAL HOME, 109 Street South in Cannington (705-432-2672) on Sunday, April 11th from 1 – 4 p.m. In accordance with the directives provided by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario please contact the funeral home to schedule your visitation appointment. Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory. A private family service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021. Interment Smith’s Cemetery, Woodville.
