Obituary of Fred Nixon

Fred Nixon Entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, on Thursday, March 18th, 2010. George Fred Nixon, in his 92nd year, was the beloved husband of 68 years of Lillian Nixon (nee Barker). Loving father of Carol and David, Judy and Clifton, Mark and Dallas, Grant and Pat. Dear grampa of Todd, Cliff, Colleen, Mary Lue, Jane, Chantel, Zoe, Brent, Matthew, Jaimie and Alexander. Dearly remembered by 17 great grandchildren. Predeceased by one son Jim (1996) and by his only sister Ellen and her husband Henry Dowie. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw St.S. in Cannington on Sunday March 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, March 22nd, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment of cremated remains later at St. Andrews Cemetery in Orillia. As a remembrance, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Hospital for Sick Children, would be appreciated.
